After a long flight (11 hours), in which Shane behaved much better than Mommy, we arrived at Charles de Gaulle Airport. After two hours, our Paris Shuttle picked us up -- which in France is right on time. Despite that little snafu, everything has been perfect. Upon our arrival, we were pleased as punch to pull up and see how quaint and Euro our apartment building happened to be. It was located at 13 Carrerfour L'Odean with a cafe on every corner and right on the cusp of St. Germain but technically in the happening Latin Quarter (6th ere). It was so reminiscent of my flats in NYC especially the fact that it was a 6 floor walk-up. The only time it was a drag was when Jason and I had to carry our luggage upstairs. It was the only time I wished I had been more conservative about what I had packed.
Despite the small set back, kudos to Jason to finding us the perfect apartment which is three blocks or less from every major attraction to the hottest shopping to the best cafes. (Not to mention that there is a Starbucks right around the corner: Je veux grande latte s'il vous plait!)
Also, forget about postcards, since we are only a few blocks from the Eiffel Tower, we don't have to buy postcards as we have taken better pictures from our rooftop deck. Once we got settled into the flat, we had lunch at a cafe around the block and then power napped. It was a rainy day, so we just took it easy. We explored our neighborhood, picked up some groceries and an easy supper and were back to bed by 10pm
